This time NASA was experimenting with robotic missions that will experiment provides refueling and small improvements for the spacecraft to be placed in orbit.By using petrol robot, later the astronauts will not be required to make all improvements and this will save you expenses, and may extend the time the spacecraft stayed in orbit. If the RRM can indeed fueling the space shuttle and finishing improvements, it's not just hit lower costs but also allows for space travel in the long run. In addition, the RRM and Dextre will be able to repair many different types of satellites, something previously not possible.
"We anticipate that, making it possible in future missions and capabilities, to the international space community," said Benjamin Reed, NASA Satellite Servicing Capabilities Officer.
"We will make such data available to everyone. That is, all the commercial industry would probably start their own businesses there, "says Frank Cepollina, RRM project manager in the Office Satellite Servicing Capabilities.
