Developers tend to choose a Cisco iOS Than AndroidA recent report revealed that in the second quarter of 2011, developers are more inclined to choose a Cisco iOS operating system rather than Android.

According to data released by the Flurry, a company which provides statistical data for the current application developers, developers tend to make apps for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, rather than application developers for the Android whose number decreased drastically.

The study revealed that in the two-quarter 2011, 57 percent of new application projects created for the iPhone, up from 54 percent in the first quarter of 2011. As quoted from IT Portal, Friday (15/7/2011).

The Data in the study also showed that at two quarter 2011, 15 percent of new applications created for iPad, increase 10 percent from the first quarter of 2011.

While for Android, Due to a two-quarter 2011, only 28 percent of new application project designation for Android, a decrease from the previous figure which still ranged from 36 percent in the first quarter of 2011.

Flurry mentions two of the main reasons of the decline in interest in the developer application for Android, the first is the release of the iPhone 4, while the second is the launch of the iPad 2.

"Google should immediately take steps so that Apple does not continue to attract interest to developers of applications," said the Flurry, in response to an increase in the percentage of interest to developers to iOS.
