China's Giant Online Store Set Up A Mobile OS

the China giant Online Store, Alibaba, setting up a mobile operating system of his own in order to compete with the popular Android platform, Cisco iOS, and Windows Phone.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal cited IT Pro Portal, Tuesday (5/7/2011), Alibaba has formed a special unit, Alibaba Cloud Computing, to develop the platform. In fact, the plan
Alibaba will release their system operations in the third quarter of 2011.

Presumably, this platform will market the Alibaba in China first before switching to other countries. Some observers predict the Alibaba will aggressively market their platform, following the growth of the mobile phone vendors sell their device on the website of Alibaba.

The news emerged not long after other Chinese technology firm, Baidu, expose their plans to build a mobile operating system Qiushi. The biggest china search engine that hope to facilitate users search through their mobile phone in no time.

Many people believe that China is attempting to reduce their dependence on Western technology companies like Microsoft, Intel or Google at the same time actively encouraging their local startup growth.
