Pope Benedict XVI: The Internet increasing the sense of loneliness
VATICAN - Pope Benedict XVI worrying about the impact of the Internet for human development. He said the Internet has made people less humane and increase the sense of loneliness and disorientation among the young generation.
"A large number of young people build their own forms of communication and it does not increase the sense of humanity but rather increase the sense of loneliness and disorientation," Benedict said in a conference at the Vatican's culture as reported by AFP on Monday (15/11/2010).
