23% of Users Never Update Android OS
Google is one of the most diligent in updating their version of the Android operating system. Then, how many users who often do most immigration to the new OS?
According to the latest statistics released by Google, only 36.2 percent of Android phone running the latest version of the operating system, and 23 percent are running an older version which is more than one year.
So the most common version of the Android version of the most widely used is version 2.1 or Eclair. This is a version of Android that almost all Googel OS-based phones are there for this year, causing high levels of adoption.
However, many people who buy an Android phone in the last few months have not received an upgrade to version 2.2 in their handheld devices. Softpedia So that was launched on Thursday (04/11/2010).
Samsung mobile phones Galaxy S along with other models such as HTC, LG, and Samsung has not upgraded to version Froyo it. While the Droid family of Motorola has got the latest update to the Android platform, but they certainly represent only a small percentage of people who had bought the phone Android.
Some users of this phone is delaying the upgrade, but some of them will never do it. The same goes for phones under Android version 2.1, which represents about a quarter of all owners of Android phones.
